Social Self-Care: 10 Activities and Ideas To Connect
Fun activities are a great way to practice social self-care and connect with other people.
Spending time with people you love or even new people while doing fun things is always a nice way to spend some time, while also letting go of stress and tension and bringing some levity and happiness and joy to your daily life.
So here are 10 of my favorite social self-care activities ideas.
10 Social Self-Care Ideas
1. Join a Book club
Yes. Why not go and join a book club? Book clubs are great activities to spend time with other people, and connect while chatting. You don’t have to be a voracious reader to join book clubs, so don’t let this intimidate you.
2. Volunteer
Why not try volunteering? Volunteering is always time well spent. Look for places in your area where you could join. Are you more interested in charities or shelters? Just go with your preferences.
3. A workout class
Pilates class, yoga class, or even HIIT class. It doesn’t matter which. Just choose what you prefer. Sport can be a fun activity when shared with other people (also, you’re not suffering alone so the company is definitely a nice bonus).
4. Dinner with friends or family
Maybe organize a dinner at home. Invite some friends or family or both and spend a nice evening all together, eating good homemade food and having fun.
5. Meet with a friend for coffee
If not dinner at home, then maybe go out for coffee. Meet some friend or family member and go for coffee in a lovely and cozy coffee shop to connect and spend a nice time together.
6. Call someone you love
Calling someone you love is nice too. Sometimes, with our busy lives, finding time to meet can certainly be difficult, so we have to opt for a call instead. Or call an old friend you haven’t heard from in a long time and that you miss, and reconnect with them.
7. Join a community garden
Community gardens are fun. They’re the perfect places to meet new people while spending some time outside. So see if maybe there are some you could join in your area.
8. Take a cooking class
Cooking classes are such a fun activity. You meet new people, you have fun, and you learn to cook nice meals. What’s not to love?
9. Go for Brunch
Brunch is always the best way to start the day. So see if maybe someone can join you and make a nice moment out of it. Go to your favorite place or even try a new one.
10. Go for a walk with a friend
Walks are the best way to let go of tension and decompress — especially nature walks. And it’s even better when you have good company with you.
So here are 10 of my favorite social activities. I’m curious to hear about yours. What are your favorite activities to practice self-care?

I hope you have a nice day. And remember to take care of yourself – you deserve it!
